Don'ts while writing Formal Letters:

1. Don't use contracted forms like can't, won't, or didn't.

2. Do not use idioms or phrasal verbs in formal letters.

3. Do not write in a casual tone.

4. Be clear and specific while writing Formal Letters.

Dear Sir,

I Ms. Soha Das residing in Parijat Colony Pune am writing this letter on behalf of all the members of Parijat Colony Pune. I want to request you to take strict action against the people who are spoiling the beauty of our historical places in Pune city.

Pune is a city of historical importance since we have many historical monuments like Saniwar Wada, Lal Mahal, Cave Temple etc. Many tourists come to visit these places. These people litter garbage all around the precious historical places thus making them dirty. Because of such people, historical places are getting spoiled day by day.

We have complained many times in the past to the officers in the concerned area but nothing has happened so far. I would like to request you to please take steps to safeguard the historical places of our city and take strict action against those who are responsible for spoiling our precious historical places.

I along with Parijat society members will be grateful if you look into this matter as soon as possible.
